Our stay at the hotel went very well. The location is quiet and convenient. While the valet parking is expensive, the service is extremely useful, and I would recommend it to anyone. The room was comfortable, and it’s worth mentioning that it is possible to request a refrigerator in the room, which is especially helpful for longer stays and for families with children, as was our case. I would, however, like to highlight an issue I experienced. During our stay, I needed an invoice, as per the conditions stated on Booking.com—a process I’m familiar with as I work in the hospitality industry myself. Unfortunately, the hotel was initially unable to meet my request, even after Booking’s customer service contacted them. It seemed to be a procedural issue. That said, I must commend the manager who assisted me on the evening of December 30th. He listened carefully to my concerns and made an effort to understand my reasoning. In the end, they were able to issue a document that met my needs, for which I am very grateful. Ultimately, the true strength of customer service, beyond managing daily operations, lies in finding solutions to more complex problems. I want to applaud the manager and the hotel team for doing their best to resolve the issue. These kinds of efforts make a real difference and add significant value to the hospitality experience.

I didn’t have a lot of time to be in the hotel (I was there just for a night and visiting the city the whole day) but honestly it did not disappoint! The hotel was worth the 4 stars, everything was perfect, clear and organized. In the room there was everything I could have possibly need. Iron, coffee, snacks, drinks, slippers, hairdryer etc… the staff was nice, especially Eduardo who managed to give me a room with a super comfy king size bed (on booking it was only available the two beds one, but I was alone) and a nice view. I decided to have dinner in the restaurant and I had the best risotto ever (vegetable risotto), after visiting the whole day, being in a nice and comfy hotel like this was the best decision I ever made. The neighborhood was ok I guess, but since I traveled alone I didn’t plan on going out with the dark, so I can’t really tell. I was told that Beverly Hills and Santa Monica were the good place to stay when in L.A. but honestly in Santa Monica there were much more homeless people than in Beverly Hills (where the hotel is), so I was happy with my decision. Wouldn’t recommend staying in downtown ever…This hotel made it all worth it!

Loved the cleanliness, loved that the receptionists were always helpful. They gave us a free upgrade to a luxury room facing the Hollywood hills which was amazing, you could really see the Hollywood sign from the window! Just have to zoom in quite a bit. Room was spacious and clean, toilet was wonderful with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. Did not see any toothbrushes, but am not sure if you could request for it. One of the best things was that they provide you with reusable aluminum bottles, and there's a water dispenser at every lift lobby where you can refill your bottles! The water is filtered and does not have any tap water taste or metallic taste which you usually get when you fill from water coolers outside. They are also not stingy with the bottles, and they gave us extras when we asked for them. Location is nice and safe, there is always security standing at the door. There's a shopping mall right opposite but unfortunately it closes quite early by 6pm, so do visit early if you wanted to go over.

It’s close to everything! Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s is just across the street and CVS close by. The staff made this hotel very special for me. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming from the moment we stepped out of the car when we arrive up until we checked out!! Everyone there is all about helping their guests and we felt that every time we encounter each one of them. Big shout out to Marta at the restaurant who is such a ray of sunshine early in the morning!!! You can tell she loves her job and people in general! Very friendly and great conversationalist. She made us feel so welcome!! I hug you with all my heart Marta and yes, I’ll start listening to Murat Boz’ music!!

-Sofitel is a true 5-star hotel in terms of its size and amenities. -The staff were friendly and solution-oriented. -The room I stayed in was more than adequate, and the bathroom was excellent. The frosting feature in the bathroom was impressive. -Sofitel has one of the best gyms I’ve ever seen, with a nice apple and coffee detail inside. -Having water dispensers on the floors was a great convenience, making it easier to stay hydrated. -The hotel is well-maintained despite being a bit old. -The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Beverly Center, where you can park for $18 a day with 24-hour access.
